Our Baby grand daughter has arrived !

I am so excited I could burst my daughter gave birth to a little Girl " Summer Rose" on Wednesday at 17:54 from a very long labour.she weighed in at 8lb 1 oz.
I was present at the birth with her partner it was amazing but very upsetting to see my daughter in pain.
I am glad I have had my children if not I think it would have put me off !!
This is me and my husband very proud Grandparents  having our first cuddle .
I have been really slack with card making i have just been making as i have needed them( not like me as I am very organised lol) but now she has come along I think I am going to attempt scrap booking as it would be lovely to give her when she is older .

Gifts from my kitchen January challenge

Last year Deborah Nicholas brought out her first book Gifts from your kitchen you may have come across Deborah from her blog www.countryheartandhome.blogspot.com she is one very talented lady /mum who has lots of fab recipes over on her blog and now in her book.
I had her book brought for me for Christmas but haven't had a chance to make anything , so today I thought I would enter January challenge over on facebook ( gifts from your kitchen).
The challenge was to create your own version of her Hidden surprise cupcakes my variation was to break up my Oreo cookies and mix them in the cake mixture, I also crumbled up some to add to my topping and on some I added a cherry on top.
They taste lush they have a lovely texture running through them.
Her book is available on Amazon if you would like to try out some of the recipes !
